Charles Shaffer, 19, of 3550 Wales Road N.W., and Christopher Collard, 20, of 7433 Rob St. N.W., were issued after police executed a search warrant Jan. 9 at Collard’s residence, according to court records. The two each face felony charges of drug trafficking and possession of drugs. They were released after signing personal recognizance bonds.
Court records show the men were found in the living room of the residence breaking down large amounts of marijuana for distribution. Officers discovered 1,000 to 5,000 grams of marijuana in the house along with a digital scale, baggies and a large amount of cash.
A preliminary hearing in the case is set for Jan. 31.
