BBC News - Cannabis plants 'worth £1.5m' uncovered in Whitefield: "Cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £1.5m have been uncovered by police in Greater Manchester.
The cannabis farm was found by officers who raided an address on Albert Close in Whitefield, Bury, on Wednesday.
A Greater Manchester Police spokesman said the plants and growing equipment were found in a number of very large rooms in the house.
Officers have launched an investigation into the find."
