Surrey trucker Jasbir Singh Saran was arrested late Wednesday as he attempted to cross the border to Blaine in his tractor-trailer containing more than 200,000 ecstasy pills - worth an estimated $2 million - hidden behind boxes of toilet paper.
The 32-year-old was driving for Concord Transportation, a company that is a certified member of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, meaning "certified trailers are supposed to be sealed from the time they are loaded until they reach their final destination," according to U.S. court documents.Saran has been ordered held in custody until his next court appearance.
