Lester Kendrick Wright, 37, was arrested by members of the Madison County Drug Task Force on Thursday at Lester’s Barbershop, along Henry Street on the city’s west side.
However, the alleged drug transactions leading to his arrest took place last November and December at a shop then operated by Wright in Edgewood Plaza.
The barber is charged with five counts of dealing in cocaine, a Class A felony carrying a standard 30-year sentence, and maintaining a common nuisance, a Class D felony with a stnadard 18-month sentence.Court records indicate Wright has been convicted of driving while suspended (in 2003), possession of marijuana (2002), resisting law enforcement (1998) and driving while intoxicated (1994).He was being held without bond Saturday in the Madison County jail
