Gregory L. Benson, 45, was charged in December 2006 two Class A felonies carrying a standard 30-year prison terms. Under the terms of a January plea agreement, the counts against Benson were reduced to Class B felonies, each carrying a standard 10-year prison term
The judge imposed a 12-year sentence with four years suspended.According to court records, Benson had earlier convictions for driving while suspended (in 2006 and 2004), possession of marijuana (2002) and visiting a common nuisance (2004).Benson's wife, Deborah, 44, pleaded guilty in November to dealing in methamphetamine and received a seven-year prison term.
